For the third time a team from Dingwall Academy successfully reached the Scottish final of the Young Consumer Competition. The final was held on the 23rd March at the Scottish Parliament and was hosted by Dave Thompson MSP.

The four team members were Rebecca Skinner (capt.), Hannah Forbes, Ruth Macleod and Abigail Skinner.

The team had a good start and were leading in the first round but were gradually caught and passed by eventual winners Boroughmuir High School who now go on to the British final in June. Other schools competing were Linlithgow Academy and Ayr Academy.

Topics covered in the competition were Health and Safety, Consumer Affairs, Food and Drink, Environmental and Social Affairs and Current Affairs.

Congratulations to Boroughmuir. We hope the Cup stays in Scotland and look forward to next years competition.
