Scottish Cup Success |

On Friday the 13th of November a group of twelve fifth and sixth year boys travelled to Thurso to play a Scottish Cup second round football tie. The team was seriously depleted as a result of illness, injury and S.4 prelims. Thurso had reached the second round by defeating Culloden 4-1 in the first round. Culloden had earlier defeated Dingwall 4-1 in the league. It did not look promising for Dingwall.
In the face of adversity, however, the team produced by far their best performance of the season. They defended stubbornly, attacked with pace and worked tirelessly for each other throughout the game.
Two goals for the outstanding lone striker Paul Brindle and one from Thomas Logie (from a Paul Brindle corner) gave Dingwall a deserved 3-0 lead. Thurso got one goal back with 15 minutes left but could not reduce the deficit further. Dingwall's game plan worked to near perfection.
Every Dingwall player represented the school superbly and the team proudly marches on into the third round.
