Thursday 20th April 2006

The first turf was cut by Councillor Alison Magee assisted by S1 pupils Eoin Martin and Megan Haslam.


Wednesday 10th May 2006

Heavy earth moving machines have moved in and the new site is taking shape.
The New Academy has been marked out and the new entrance is under construction.


Tuesday 16th May 2006

Work on the site is progressing rapidly and the shape of the New Dingwall Academy is clear to see from the excavations.


Thursday 18th May 2006

What a difference two days make, most of the turf has been scraped away and the contractors are moving in for the duration.


Tuesday 23rdMay 2006

The outline of the New Academy is now plain to see. Most of the top soil and clay has been removed and is now being replaced by layers of hardcore.


Friday 26th May 2006

A busy site shown below with top soil being removed and hard core being delivered. Also a core sample being taken of the subsoil all the way down to the bed rock six metres below.
